Your conversation is yours.

AmigoLiveCam supports anonymous chats and optional username accounts. You can use random chat without signing up. This page describes what the service handles.

What AmigoLiveCam handles

Approximate country labels

When a random video chat connects, AmigoLiveCam uses the participant IP address already supplied to the service connection to look up an approximate country in a locally stored GeoLite Country database. The country name and flag are shared only with that chat partner and shown below the video tile. AmigoLiveCam does not request GPS location, calculate a street-level location, or use this label for advertising or profiling. The IP address is not saved specifically for this lookup; the hosting provider may process IP addresses as described above. Mobile carriers, VPNs, and network routing can make the country label inaccurate.

This product includes GeoLite Data created by MaxMind, available from MaxMind. The database is downloaded to the server and refreshed periodically; it is not included in the public source repository.

Camera and microphone

Your browser asks before AmigoLiveCam can use your camera or microphone. You can refuse permission or stop a video chat at any time using browser controls or the leave button.

Advertising

AmigoLiveCam’s Google AdSense Auto ads setting is enabled. Ads will appear only if Google approves the site and chooses to serve ads. If Google ads are served, Google and its third-party vendors may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, measure, and personalize ads based on visits to this site and other sites. Learn how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can manage personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings and manage cookies in your browser.

Safety and age

AmigoLiveCam is intended for adults. Random conversations can include offensive behavior. Leave any chat that makes you uncomfortable, block the current connection, or use the report control. Reports currently appear in hosting service application logs and are not continuously monitored. A staffed review process is not yet in place, so a report may not receive follow-up. Do not rely on in-app reporting for emergencies.

The Android app may request an age range/status from Google Play to restrict access to adults. AmigoLiveCam uses that result on the device to allow or deny access; it does not store the age signal or send it to the AmigoLiveCam server. If a person’s adult status cannot be confirmed, access stays locked.
